Here Michael Jordan takes one of his famous clutch shots and makes the game-winning basket in the NCAA Title game vs Georgetown.
It took 32 years to surface but at long last we now have a chance to relive history as Michael Jordan, in his first game for the North Carolina Tar Heels on his second shot attempt, nails a floating jumper from just a couple of feet away from the basket. His first game was also his first win in the NCAA; A 74-67 victory over mighty Kansas. Three interesting notes from that first game:
1. Jordan was only the fourth Tar Heels player ever to start the opening game of his freshman season.
2. Jordan was introduced as ‘Mike’ instead of Michael.
3. He averaged 13 points per game in his rookie season at NC.
Excuse the poor quality on the video but it’s just the way it was released.
