In all fairness to Charlotte Bobcat backup center DeSagana Diop, who just turned 30 years old on Monday, he really hasn’t been to the free throw line all that much. In fact over the last four seasons, he’s attempted 95 free throws and has made only 29 for a paltry 30.5% average. So although no one was surprised when he missed this free throw attempt vs the Washington Wizards last Saturday, what was shocking was that the ball missed the rim by a good three feet.
