GREEN TO MISS ENTIRE SEASON
Scary but it could have been the most important physical that Boston Celtic Jeff Green will ever have. Doctors, in a training camp physical, found that Green has an aortic aneurysm, a condition that could have proven deadly had the NBA season began on time. It’s the same heart defect that took the life of Reggie Lewis who dropped dead on the practice floor back in 1993. Jason Collier, who also died, realized the same fate when he was the center of the Atlanta Hawks in 2005.
Doctors have scheduled the surgery for Monday and expect that Green will make a full recovery and be able to resume his basketball career next season. He came to the Celtics from the Thunder in a trade for Kendrick Perkins last year. He’s only 25 years old and very fortunate that this was discovered when it was. (Green did play in some charity games over the summer with LeBron James). Hopefully the talented Green, who didn’t see much playing time after his move to Boston, will be back and play a bigger role with the Celtics after he is fully recovered. We wish him well…
So glad he got that physical.

Two deaths from this condition is 2 too many! Guess everything happens for a reason…

Hello Fantasyfurnace,
This might be off topic, however, Rotator cuff physical therapy, or rotator cuff physiotherapy, has a huge and vital role to play in rehabilitation from any cuff injury.
All the Best
