Manny Ramirez who made over $200,000 million playing for major league baseball is playing in Taiwan, currently hauling in a meager $25,000 a month. Offensively, the 41 year old is doing well batting .347 with 5 home runs, however clearly the former Red Sox star had a lapse in judgement when he tried to break up a double play but began his slide about 10 minutes too early!
We’re not sure what the Taiwanese play by play men were saying but it probably wasn’t very complimentary. They did however, seem to be enjoying themselves.
Notice also how, after returning to the dugout amidst a slew of high-fives (for what we’ll never know), Manny has a difficult time trying to catch his breath. He only ran 115 feet, or about 38 yards, but you would think he just ran a 26 mile marathon…
