This is an important week in Fantasy Football. Several teams in your leagues have already clinched playoff spots making a win this week vital for the teams who are on the bubble. In some Yahoo! leagues this is the last week of the regular season! Here are some pickups for your consideration heading into ‘lucky’ week #13…

Mohamed Sanu-WR-Bengals-This former Rutgers star has fast becoming a favorite goal line receiver and #2 option for QB Andy Dalton opposite A.J. Green. Last week he was targeted nine times but only netted 29 receiving yards to go along with two touchdowns. He now has four touchdowns in the past three weeks making him a viable option in most leagues. He’ll face the S.D. Chargers this week who give up the 13th most fantasy points to WR’s. Sanu is available in over 90% of leagues.

Dallas Cowboys-Def/SP Teams- Although the ‘Boys have a less than ’average’ defense, we like the matchup they’ll have this week going up against their divisional rival Philadelphia Eagles. The woeful ‘Birds have lost seven straight and are in a free-fall. The last time these two teams met back in week #10, the Cowboys amassed a total of 22 fantasy points. With Nick Foles and a very porous Eagles offensive line, this willl be the opportune time to pick up Dallas if your team defense/sp. team is suspect this week. Dallas is owned in 40% of leagues.

Justin Blackmon-WR-Jaguars- If you’re in need of a WR2 this week, then have we got a pickup for you! Coming off the Titan’s game last week, Blackmon rustled in a nice 12 fantasy points in standard non PPR leagues by virtue of his 62 receiving yards on five passes and a touchdown. This week he’ll face the team that has given up more fantasy points to wide receivers than any other in the league; the Bufallo Bills. Jags QB Chad Henne has formed a nice chemistry between him and Blackmon and we think he’s a must add in most formats. He’s only available in 40% of leagues so those of you in leagues of 10 teams or less  still have a shot of picking him up.

Jacquizz Rodgers-RB-Falcons-If you have been on the fence about whether or not to pick up Michael Turner’s back-up, then this week you should take the plunge. He’s coming off a week where he scored his first rushing touchdown against one of the more formidable teams against the rush in Tampa Bay. He ran for 49 yards on 1o carries and picked up another 30 yards on two receptions. Turner has not been burning up the turf this season and you can expect Rodgers to garner 15 or so carries this week against the N.O. Saints who have given up the league’s 2nd most fantasy points to running backs. Rodgers is currently available in just over 50% of leagues.

Garett Graham-TE-Texans- Tied for the most touchdowns (3) over the past four weeks, one behind Jimmy Graham (no relation), this Graham makes for a serviceable tight end in 12+ leagues and deeper leagues as he will face a Titans team that has given up the fourth most fantasy points to tight ends this season. He can fill in nicely if you’ve lost Gronk or if you have Brandon Myers on your team. (Myers goes up against one of the stingiest teams vs TE’s in the league in Cleveland this week). Graham is available in almost every league. We predict he’ll put up 40 yards and a score this week.

For the upcoming Thanksgiving Holiday, we are providing owners with our Holiday Waiver Wire Picks. It’s an abbrevaited cross-section of widely available players for you to consider rostering for the final few weeks of the regular season. We have also included our “Sleeper of the Week”. Good luck!!

Golden Tate-WR-Seahawks-  Over this second round pick out of Notre Dame’s last three weeks, Tate has 13 receptions for 143 yards and three touchdowns, giving him six on the season. He’ll face the Miami Dolphins this week who give up the 8th most fantasy points to wide receivers. He’s available in 70% of leagues.

T.Y. Hilton- WR-Colts- With teammate Donnie Avery out last Sunday with a concussion, Hilton went off for 6 receptions on 9 targets for 100 yards and 2 touchdowns. If Avery misses this week’s contest vs the Buffalo Bills, who give up the 11th most fantasy points to wideouts, then grab Hilton off of waivers where he is currently owned in just 35% of leagues.

Marcedes Lewis-TE-Jaguars- With QB Chad Henne under center Lewis has been more involved in the offense, as he caught 3 passes out of 4 targets for 40 yards and two touchdowns against the Houston Texans last week. He’s been known to get a case of the droppsies once in a while however this week he’ll get more opportunities going up vs the Titans who yield the 4th most fantasy points to TE’s. He’s available in almost 90% of leagues so in deeper leagues he would make a nice addition.

Ryan Broyles-WR-Lions- With WR Titus Young deactivated on Thanksgiving Day for disciplinary actions, Broyes should see an increase in targets this week in Detroit on the other side of Megatron. Owned only in 20% of leagues, he’s a must add in 12 team and deeper leagues and as an inexpensive flex play in PPR leagues.

Jalen Parmele-RB-Jaguars- Maurice Jones-Drew will sit out this week’s game vs the Titans and coach Mike Mularkey has already said that Parmele will start over the inept Rashad Jennings. As he’ll be facing a Titans team that gives up the most fantasy points to running backs, we are making Parmele our “Sleeper of the Week” and a Must Add in all formats. Any owner needing to plug up a hole at RB (like where Willis McGahee used to be for example), should consider picking up Parmele who is only owned in a scant 2% of leagues. He could be the best kept secret in fantasy leagues this week!

Between bye weeks and injuries there has to be some players that will help to fill a void (or two) on your roster this week. The amount of concussed players rises every week and one can only wish that there will be ways to help minimize these serious health concerns. Just last week we saw Alex Smith, Jay Cutler, Ben Roethlisberger, and Fred Jackson, just to name a few, succumb to either concussion or other bodily injury. Several of these and other players will be out for Sunday’s games so here are some pickups that hopefully you can still grab in your leagues…

Carson Palmer-QB-Raiders- The Raiders will be going up against the defensively challenged Saints this week and we’re touting Palmer because New Orleans has given up the most fantasy points to QBs in the league. They also yield close to 500 yards of offense to opposing teams which should benefit the Raiders who were blown away by the Ravens last week. Palmer was 29-45 for 368 yards and two touchdowns in that game although admittedly a lot of the throws came when the game was clearly out of hand. He has however , thrown 45 or more passes in 3 of his last 4 games and has just become the first Raider QB since Ken Stabler to throw eight 300-yard passing games. He’s still available in around 40% of most leagues.

Donnie Avery-WR-Colts- When Rookie QB Andrew Luck isn’t rushing for touchdowns, he’s got some fairly reliable receivers at his disposal. Avery is slowly becoming one of his favorites as witnessed last week when he was targeted six times. Only Reggie Wayne was targeted more. New England, the Colts’ opponents this week, has given up the 7th most fantasy points to WR’s this season which makes Avery even more of a threat. In his last three weeks, he has 13 receptions for 215 yards. He’ll make a decent WR3 this week and you should have no problem finding him as he is only owned in under 25% of leagues.

Daniel Thomas-RB-Dolphins- Forget Miami’s mammoth collapse last week in their stunning 31-13 defeat at home. They will now face the Buffalo Bills who have given up the most fantasy points to RBs this season. Yes, Thomas shares the carries with Reggie Bush, who had a costly fumble in last week’s contest, but Thomas gained more total yards than Bush in that game. He had 5 rushes for 21 yards and 5 catches for 34. Those of you in deeper leagues desperate for a flex play, you can can ill-afford to pass Thomas by. The 2nd round pick in the 2011 draft has three rushing TD’s on the season, one more than Stephen Jackson of the Rams… He is only owned in about a third of leagues.

Connor Barth-K-Buccaneers- Not exactly a household name yet, Barth can easily fill in for those of you who lose Giants K Lawrence Tynes or Vikings K Blair Walsh to byes this week. He has 9 field goals over 40 yards and three over 50 so far this season. He has attempted seven F.G.s and has booted 13 extra points over the past three games He has 28 fantasy points over his last three games, averaging around 9 fantasy points per week. I know I’d sign up for 9 points if my top kicker was off this week. He is available in 65% of leagues and is considered a Must Add for those short a kicker.

Bengals-Team Defense/Special Teams- The Bengals are a perfect fill-in should you own the Giants or Vikings this week, and would not be a bad pick if your team was not on a bye. Why? Well, in a word, Kansas City! Alright, two words.. In their last five games the anemic Chiefs have scored 6, 10, 16, 13, and 13 points, and two of those games were against non-defensive minded teams; Oakland and Tampa Bay. As for the Bengals, they just happen to have the leagues 4th most sacks (27) and are fifth in fumble recoveries with (8). Another Must Add for those in need of a team def. /sp. teams or those who want to upgrade who they already have on their roster this week. The Bengals are owned in 45% of leagues so check ‘em out before that number rises too much higher.

The Bengals defense, shown tackling RB David Wilson here, wreaked havoc vs the Giants last week causing them to turn the ball over several times while holding them to just 13 points. They’ll have an easier time of it this week. Photo: Al Behrman/ap
